Head quartered in Hong Kong with our UK site based in Hillington, Glasgow, Henry Group are a multinational, market-leading organisation within the Refrigeration, Air-conditioning & Heat Pump Industry, with Manufacturing and/or Sales facilities in the USA, UK, China, Singapore & Australia. Established in 1914 in Illinois, USA, the company specialises in design and manufacture of pressure relief valves, oil management systems and flow controls for RACHP systems.
We are recruiting for an experienced Material Buyer/Planner to join our established team, based in Hillington. This full time varied and fast paced role reports directly into the Customer Service Manager.
This role requires solid knowledge of purchasing and planning processes therefore previous experience in a similar role is essential.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Analysing and evaluating forecasts and reports to enhance supply chain delivery.
- Check of MRP requirements and order status ensuring accuracy of delivery dates.
- Self-vendor management including finding gaps/problems in daily cooperation and looking for solutions to improve the process.
- Continuous dialogue with shipping of incoming materials and finished goods.
- Communication with internal clients to keep up to date with pending orders.
- Liaison with internal departments.
A minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar role is essential, as well as excellent communication and organisation skills. Additionally, IT and data entry skills would be advantageous, in particular Pegasus Operations and Microsoft Office. The successful candidates must be pro active, able to hit the ground running with high motivation and a problem solving attitude!
