Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Night Porter to provide exceptional guest services during the overnight shift. The ideal candidate will ensure the safety, security, and comfort of our guests and premises. Duties
- Monitor the hotel or establishment premises overnight, ensuring safety and security for guests and staff
- Conduct regular patrols of public areas, corridors, and external grounds
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries or requests via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and guest service skills
- Handle late-night check-ins and check-outs efficiently and courteously
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in common areas such as reception, lobby, and corridors
- Record incidents or unusual occurrences accurately in logs or reports
- Assist with administrative tasks as required, including managing bookings
- Coordinate with security personnel or emergency services when necessary
- clear, prep and prepare conference rooms and event spaces in advance
Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel or hospitality industry is preferred but not essential
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist diverse guest needs
- Excellent communication skills with strong phone etiquette
- Demonstrated guest service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during late-night hours
- Organised with good attention to detail for record keeping and safety procedures
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts on a regular basis, including weekends and holidays if required
- Knowledge of hospitality standards and procedures is advantageous
