About Us
Active Concept Enterprise Ltd is a growing electronic security systems company working mainly across commercial and industrial sites.
We install, maintain and support a wide range of systems including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms, Fire Alarms, Gates, Barriers and Integrated Security Systems.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Security Systems Engineer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role
The role will involve installation, servicing, maintenance and fault-finding across a range of fire and security systems.
You will be working on a mixture of small works, larger projects, planned maintenance visits and reactive callouts. Most of our work is commercial and industrial, so a professional approach to customers, site work and communication is important.
You will be supported by the business, but we are looking for someone who is confident working independently when required and can manage their day sensibly.
Main Duties
Duties will include:
- Installing, servicing and maintaining CCTV, access control, intruder alarm and associated security systems.
- Fault-finding and carrying out remedial works.
- Installing cameras, readers, panels, detection devices, power supplies, cabling and containment.
- Working on IP CCTV, NVRs, PoE switches and basic networked security systems.
- Completing planned preventative maintenance visits.
- Supporting project installations and system upgrades.
- Communicating with customers, site contacts, other engineers and the office.
- Completing job sheets, site updates, photographs and basic reports using company systems.
- Working safely and following site rules, RAMS and health and safety procedures.
- Representing the company in a polite, tidy and professional manner.
Experience
Experience with any of the following would be beneficial:
- CCTV systems such as Dahua, Honeywell, Hanwha, Hikvision or similar.
- IP CCTV, NVRs, PoE switches and basic networking.
- Access control systems such as Paxton, Honeywell, Salto, TDSi or similar.
- Intruder alarm systems such as Orisec, Galaxy, Pyronix or similar.
- Fire alarm systems.
- Intercoms, gates and barriers.
You do not need experience with every system. Training and support can be provided for the right person.

Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Previous experience as a Security Systems Engineer, Fire & Security Engineer, CCTV Engineer, Access Control Engineer or similar.
- Good working knowledge of CCTV, access control, intruder alarms or other electronic security systems.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- A professional and tidy approach to work.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
The following would be an advantage:
- Commercial or industrial installation experience.
- IP CCTV and basic networking knowledge.
- Fire alarm experience.
- Gate or barrier automation experience.
- ECS/CSCS card.
- IPAF/PASMA.
- Security industry qualifications.
- SSAIB/NSI environment experience.
- Manufacturer training.
Working Hours and Travel
The role is mainly Monday to Friday during normal working hours.
Some sites may occasionally require earlier starts, later finishes or out-of-hours works depending on customer requirements. Overtime may be available where required.
Most work is across Staffordshire, Cheshire, the Midlands and surrounding areas, although travel further afield may occasionally be required for larger projects.
