Responsibilities
- Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate food preparation activities to ensure timely service.
- Develop and create innovative menu items that reflect current culinary trends while maintaining the restaurant's identity.
- Ensure that all food is prepared according to established recipes and standards of quality.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and order as necessary to maintain stock.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and efficient kitchen operations.
- Collaborate with management on menu planning, pricing strategies, and promotional events.
- Manage kitchen operations during service periods, ensuring smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen equipment.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with front-of-house staff.
- A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
