Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Part Time Delivery/Yard/Sales Person to join our team. This role involves delivering goods, assisting in the yard, and engaging with customers. The job involves heavy lifting so the ideal candidate will be physically fit as well as organised, possess good communication and numeracy skills and have a clean driving licence.
Responsibilities
- Deliver products efficiently to customers within designated areas, ensuring timely and accurate service
- Assist in maintaining the yard area, including organising stock
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing product information where appropriate
- Handle cash or electronic transactions accurately and responsibly
- Manage inventory levels and report any discrepancies or stock shortages promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the delivery vehicle and yard area
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate deliveries and sales activities
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and inventory counts
- Organised with good time management abilities to meet delivery schedules and sales targets
- Proven organisational skills for managing stock, deliveries, and customer interactions
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in merchandising, sales, or customer service is beneficial but not mandatory
- Valid driving licence preferred for delivery responsibilities
Pay: £13.50 per hour
