Job Title: Service Engineer – Plant & Agricultural Equipment
Location: Muir of Ord
Job Type: Full-time | Permanent | 40 hours per week + Overtime
Salary: £35,000 – £55,000 per annum + overtime paid at x1.5

About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Service Engineer to join a well-established operation supporting plant and construction equipment. This is a field-based role, operating from the Muir of Ord area and covering the wider region, with strong depot support, manufacturer-led training, and solid technical backup.
This role offers job security, excellent overtime potential, and long-term career progression within a supportive engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out field-based servicing, repairs, and diagnostics on plant machinery
- Attending breakdowns and completing fault-finding efficiently
- Completing digital job cards and time recording
- Liaising with service supervisors and parts teams
- Accurately ordering parts and ensuring equipment compliance
- Supporting and mentoring apprentices or junior engineers when required
What We’re Looking For
- NVQ / SVQ / City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Plant, Vehicle, or Mechanical Engineering
- Proven experience working with diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, or heavy machinery
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Good customer-facing skills and time management
- Full UK Driving Licence
