Job Overview:
The Smokehouse Chef is responsible for crafting and executing our signature smoked meats and barbecue dishes. This role requires a deep understanding of smoking techniques, a passion for flavour, and the ability to maintain high-quality standards.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook a variety of smoked meats, including brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and chicken.
* Develop and maintain recipes for marinades, rubs, and sauces.
* Monitor and control the smoking process to achieve optimal flavor and texture.
* Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
* Comply with all food safety and sanitation regulations.
* Assist in menu development and testing new recipes.
* Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a smokehouse or barbecue kitchen ideal.
* Strong knowledge of smoking techniques and equipment.
* Passion for barbecue and smoked meats.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
