Position: Assistant Site Manager
Location: Norwich
Salary: £200 - £240 per day (CIS, open to discussion)
Bennett & Game are representing a well-established main contractor who are seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join their growing team.
The business has been operating since the mid-1990s and delivers high-quality construction and refurbishment projects across the South and East of England. They specialise in bespoke residential schemes, including complex extensions, adaptations and high-specification works, typically ranging up to £1.5 million in value.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Site Manager looking to gain further site management experience on a live project, working alongside an experienced Site Manager and wider delivery team. The role offers a hands-on environment, working closely with both subcontractors and direct labour, with genuine exposure to all aspects of project delivery.
- £200 - £230 per day (CIS, open to discussion)

- Assist with the day-to-day management of a residential adaptation and extension project
- Support the Site Manager in coordinating subcontractors and direct labour on site
- Monitor progress and help ensure works are delivered in line with programme requirements
- Assist with quality control inspections and ensure high standards of finish are maintained
- Support site health and safety procedures and general site organisation
- Help coordinate materials, deliveries and site logistics
- Liaise with trades and suppliers to support smooth project delivery
- Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager, Site Supervisor or Foreman on residential or similar projects
- Strong understanding of construction processes and site operations
- Experience working alongside multiple trades and subcontractors
- Proactive and hands-on approach with a willingness to learn and develop
- Understanding of quality standards and health & safety requirements
- SMSTS, SSSTS or equivalent qualification desirable
- Must be based locally to Norwich or able to commute regularly to site
