We are seeking a skilled and dedicated fully skilled hands-on Electrician to join our client in the based in Stoke-On-Trent ST3. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects on site , including the factory maintenance and installation team.
Duties
- Installing, testing, and maintaining electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with safety regulations and technical specifications.
- Diagnosing electrical issues using hand tools and power tools, then performing necessary repairs or replacements.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate installation and maintenance.
- Ensuring all work complies with current electrical codes and safety standards.
- Conducting routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or faults.
- Collaborating with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
- Documenting work performed, including inspections, repairs, and modifications for record-keeping purposes.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, and multimeters.
- Experience with power tools including drills, saws, and cable cutters.
- Strong electrical experience with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems effectively.
- Knowledge of current electrical codes and safety regulations within the UK.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
