Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Housekeeper to oversee the cleaning and maintenance operations within our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. This role involves managing a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, and maintaining an organised and efficient working environment. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate operational flexibility. The Head Housekeeper will play a vital role in upholding the organisation’s reputation for cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the housekeeping team to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to the highest standards.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules, protocols, and quality control measures.
- Train new staff members on cleaning procedures, safety standards, and customer service expectations.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and organise procurement as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms, public areas, and facilities to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Address guest or client complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with other departments to facilitate smooth operational workflows.
- Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, training sessions, and cleaning activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the housekeeping or hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Prior experience in delivering exceptional customer service is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and relevant health regulations.
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for operational flexibility.
