Crossley Fields Junior & Infant School is large multicultural school serving a diverse and broad catchment area. We are highly inclusive with a commitment to ensuring a broad and ambitious curriculum for all our children so that they achieve the best possible outcomes from their time with us.
We are looking to appoint an experienced ETA who will have the knowledge and skills needed to:
Support individual and small groups of pupils where the primary need is SEMH.
Experience of delivering interventions that support SEMH needs.
Be able to work successfully with staff, parents / carers and external agencies to remove barriers to learning and positively impact on pupil outcomes.
Develop, implement and review behaviour support plans, including Risk Assessments and I-APDRs.
Make referrals to external agencies, including EHCP Needs Assessments, for identified pupils in collaboration with our SENCos, class teachers and the Headteacher.
Model good practice in implementing policies within school including the school’s behaviour policy and restrictive intervention policy.
Work independently and also as part of a team, depending on the situation.
Demonstrate the ability to lead, motivate and support colleagues through a proactive, positive mentoring approach.
Act as a positive model for implementing de-escalation techniques, whilst maintaining high expectations for pupils.
Remain calm under pressure and with a patient and nurturing approach.
Be DDSL and Team Teach trained, or willing to undertake the training.
