Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + Bonus Scheme

HJ Talent is proud to be supporting a well-established children’s residential care provider in the recruitment of a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager for their 4-bed Children’s Home in Stoke-on-Trent.
The home is currently rated Good by Ofsted and provides a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs. The Role
As Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the leadership and management of the home, ensuring the service continues to operate to the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance.
You will lead and inspire the staff team while creating a positive and stable environment where children and young people can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily running of the children’s home in line with Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards
- Maintain and further develop the home’s Good Ofsted rating
- Lead, motivate, and support the staff team through effective supervision and development
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are always fully implemented
- Promote positive outcomes for children and young people
- Manage staffing, recruitment, rotas, and performance
- Build strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, families, and external professionals
- Ensure effective care planning and risk management
- Manage budgets and resources efficiently
Requirements
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or experienced Deputy Manager within children’s residential care
- Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Quality Standards
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Passionate about delivering outstanding care and support
- Full UK Driving Licence
Pay: £50,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
