As a Lead Practitioner with CrossReach Children & Family Services, you will play a key role in creating safe, stable and nurturing environments where children and young people can feel valued, supported and empowered to achieve positive outcomes.

What you will do
In this role, you will:

Provide high quality care and support to children and young people within a residential setting

Take lead responsibility as a Keyworker, supporting the development, implementation and review of care plans, risk assessments and individual outcomes

Help children and young people achieve positive progress within a safe, stable and nurturing environment

Build positive and trusting relationships using therapeutic and attachment-informed approaches

Support children and young people with daily living skills, emotional wellbeing, education and community activities

Work closely with families, carers and external professionals to ensure joined-up support

Contribute to reports, reviews and meetings relating to the care and support of children and young people

Support and guide Support Practitioners within the team and assist the Team Leader when required

Work flexibly across shift patterns, including sleepover duties where required
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone with significant experience within care and/or education who brings a reflective, person-centred and relationship-focused approach to their practice. You should have strong communication, planning and recording skills, alongside the ability to remain calm, compassionate and consistent in challenging situations. A commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for children and young people is essential, as is an understanding of attachment-informed and trauma-informed practice. A full driving licence is required for this role. You should also hold, or be willing to work towards, the qualifications required for SSSC registration, including HNC Social Care and SVQ Level 3. DDP Level 1 or equivalent is desirable.
