Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to residents in a care home, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals. A driving licence is preferred for those assisting with home care visits.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Monitor and report any changes in patients' conditions to the nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members.
- Document patient progress and any relevant information accurately in care records.
- Participate in training sessions and continuous professional development as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong command of English for effective communication with patients and colleagues.
- Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes.
- Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
- A valid owing to the location of the Care Home, or relieable alternatives.
- A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
