Sky Recruitment Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a well established national distribution and logistics business based in the Derbyshire area.
The Business:
This organisation operates within the fast paced parcel and delivery sector, supporting the movement of thousands of parcels across the UK every single day. Working with both businesses and consumers, they play a key role in ensuring deliveries are processed, sorted and dispatched efficiently through their large scale distribution network.
The Role:
As a Parcel Sorter, you will support warehouse operations across multiple sorting areas, ensuring parcels are processed accurately and prepared for dispatch to the correct locations.
This is a fast paced warehouse role where attention to detail, reliability and teamwork are essential.
Hours & Pay:
- Monday to Sunday
- 3:00pm – 10:00pm
- Flexible start and finish times available based on business needs
- £12.71 per hour
- Weekly pay
Key Responsibilities:
- Sorting parcels by postcode, size and designated area codes
- Preparing parcels and mailbags ready for dispatch
- Using handheld scanners to process and track parcels through the system
- Supporting general warehouse operations where required
- Working towards warehouse targets and KPI expectations
- Manual handling and lifting of parcels of various sizes throughout the shift
What We're Looking For:
- Previous warehouse or parcel sorting experience is desirable but not essential
- Comfortable working within a physically demanding environment
- Good attention to detail and ability to work at pace
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work well within a team
- Comfortable using handheld scanners and warehouse technology
