Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Early Years Summer Assistant to support our childcare team during the summer period. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate leadership qualities. Duties
- Assist in planning and delivering engaging activities suitable for young children in line with early childhood education principles
- Support the supervision and care of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Help organise daily routines, including meal times, play sessions, and rest periods
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages learning, creativity, and social development
- Support with behavioural management using effective communication strategies
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of play areas and resources
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure smooth daily operations
- Assist with administrative tasks as required, including record keeping and activity planning
- Drive company vehicles if necessary to support outings or activities outside the premises
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is highly desirable
- Knowledge of early childhood education practices and child development principles
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide activities and support team members
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating initiative
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs
- Previous nursery experience or relevant childcare qualifications will be advantageous
- A caring attitude combined with organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively

Pay: £12.78-£13.00 per hour
