A driving opportunity has become available at our Boughton Depot
The responsibilities of the role
·To transport goods from out deport to construction sites and builders merchants
·To transport goods from our quarry in Escrick to our Great Heck manufacturing site
·Working to deadlines and to manage on-road routes in order to achieve time-sensitive deliveries.
·Daily vehicles walk round checks and accurate defect reporting
·Planning your route on a daily basis
·Loading and securing loads using straps
·Keeping the despatch office up to date on delivery times
·Comply with on-site health and safety requirements
·A Proven track record of driving vehicles in a safe and legal manner ensuring compliance with all legal requirements
·A detailed understanding of driver’s hours and WTD legislation
A degree of physical activity is intrinsic within this role, including manual handling of
wooden pallets, manual tensioning of ratchet straps and occasional handling of
precast concrete building blocks, negotiating vertical ladders/steps to access the
cab/on-vehicle crane, where appropriate accessing the airlines/suzies for connection
to trailers, accessing the body of tipper vehicles and working outside in prevailing
seasonal weather conditions. There is also a requirement to wear items of personal
protective equipment/clothing as necessary for tasks carried out
You will need
·A valid LGV UK Driving Licence
·HIAB Licence
·A valid UK Driver CPC Card
·A valid UK Digital Tachograph Card

Pay: £46,000.00-£54,000.00 per year
