An opportunity has arisen to join the Waiting List Department based at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
You will be motivated, enthusiastic, have good communication skills and work well within a team. The maintenance of patient confidentiality and excellent customer care skills are essential to this post.
Duties will include the retrieval of Health Record Folders, updating patient’s details in their Health Record Folder and on the Trust’s PAS system.

Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
To request patient case notes from across the Hospital and associated peripheral hospitals.
Prepare case notes for theatre admission and preoperative assessment appointments
Update the Hospital Information System (MAXIMS) to reflect the correct location of the casenotes
Ensure that all duties allocated are completed in a timely and satisfactory manner
Offer general support to the Waiting List team.
Liaise with, and work in harmony with, other areas of the Trust to promote patient experience
- Liaise with all grades of staff internally and externally including other hospitals.
- Understand the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and Access to Health Records Act 1990
- Support the review and processing of requests received and respond back to enquiries.
To adhere to the Medical Records Procedures.
Answering the phone, taking messages and acting upon the messages
Constantly review admin processes and consider ways in which to improve them
Comply with the job description statement

To undertake any other ad-hoc activities as directed.
