Job Purpose
Reporting to the Transport Manager, our HGV Drivers are responsible for delivering powered access equipment and associated plant equipment throughout the UK, loading and unloading the equipment in a safe and compliant manner and representing the business to the highest standard when dealing with customers.
Key responsibilities
- Delivering Powered Access and Associated Plant Equipment throughout the UK
- Safely loading and unloading equipment and ensuring it is securely chained
- Good communication skills
- Staying compliant within our company standards
- Understand tachograph and drivers' hours regulations.
- Representing the business
- Conduct regular equipment and general condition audits of your vehicle
- Consider the safety of all other road users in relation to your driving and security of load.
Essential Criteria
- Qualified HGV Class 1 driver
- Previous experience working within powered access or plant
- Excellent customer service skills
Class 1 Driver Qualifications:
- Driver Digital Tachograph Card
- LGV License Category CE / Full UK Driving License
- Up-to-date CPC qualification
- IPAF 1b , 3a & 3b certification (or willingness to obtain)
Please note
- Nights out as and when required with an average of 1-3 per week. Parking paid and night out allowance provided.
- Overtime available at time and a half, plus additional work available.
