Godfrey Group Facilities is looking for a dedicated Void property / reactive Cleaner to join our team. This flexible role involves visiting multiple sites, including Adra Housing Association, Grwp Cynefin, and other commercial locations, maintaining high cleaning standards even in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate commercial machinery
- Complete void property clearances and deep cleans
- Carry out commercial cleaning across multiple sites, including offices and communal areas in sheltered housing and social housing
- Follow cleaning schedules and ensure all areas are cleaned to a high standard
- Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize surfaces
- Empty bins and replace liners (where the site requires)
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, replenishing supplies as needed
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other interior glass surfaces
- Operate cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners and carpet cleaners
- Work safely and follow guidelines for cleaning chemicals and procedures
- Carry out reactive cleans for Adra Housing Association and Grwp Cynefin as and when required
- Clean void properties
- Carry out cleans in properties where vulnerable adults have been unable to maintain cleanliness (this is carried out in teams and with support from the Housing Association or Social Services)
Skills and Requirements:
- Comfortable driving 3 tonne van
- Can operate commercial machinery (training included)
- Can lift heavy iteams during clearance jobs
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning is preferred but not essential; full training provided
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to cleaning protocols
- Ability to clean sites that may contain bio-hazards, such as blood or faeces (appropriate training, PPE, chemicals and equipment provided )
- Full UK driving licence
- DBS check (can be provided by us)
