Job Title: Handyman/Woman/Maintenance
Location: Scottish Borders, Travelling between Galahill House, St John’s & Millfield House Care Homes
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Hourly Rate: £16.00 per hour
Breaks: 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks daily (all unpaid)

About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced handyman to join our team, who will be responsible for three designated homes. You will play a key role in ensuring our residential properties are safe, well-maintained, and presentable.
This is a varied role requiring skills across general maintenance, decorating, and gardening. You will be expected to carry out a wide range of repairs and upkeep duties both inside and outside the buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- General maintenance and repair tasks across assigned homes
- Painting and wallpapering rooms and communal areas
- Basic joinery and handyman tasks
- Garden maintenance and outdoor upkeep
- Reporting issues and completing job records as required
- Working independently and managing your own daily schedule
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar maintenance or handyman role
- Skills in painting, wallpapering, joinery, and garden maintenance
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites
- Good communication and organisational skills
- A full UK driving licence (essential - company vehicle provided)
