Hours: Full time - 35 hours per week/ 70 hours over two weeks (nine-day fortnight)
The role
We are currently looking to recruit a Design Lead to join our Marketing and Communications team here at Housing 21.
We're looking for a talented and creative Designer to help shape and strengthen our brand across all channels. You'll bring fresh ideas, strong storytelling skills, and the ability to turn briefs into engaging, high-quality content for print and digital platforms.
From marketing campaigns and corporate publications to video, presentations and brand assets, you'll play a key role in ensuring our communications are professional, accessible and impactful while championing our brand standards throughout the organisation.
While the role is home based the successful candidate will be required to attend meetings including team meetings at our head office in Birmingham as required.

What we’re looking for
The essential requirements for the role include:
- Substantial demonstrable design experience, including for print and online, with a full understanding of the print process
- A confident individual with creative flair and the ability to interpret ideas and bring these to life
- Excellent verbal and written skills, including attention to detail and an excellent command of English language
- Be an expert in Adobe Creative Cloud software (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator), working on a mix of print and digital design projects
- Film and edit short engaging videos, with subtitles (where necessary), and lead on filming and photography projects involving external suppliers
- Manage relationships with external suppliers, providing clear project specifications and briefs and monitoring quality and cost effectively
- Create a range of branded assets for different audiences across multiple channels with an understanding of accessibility
