This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented Head Chef to take the reins of a prestigious country house hotel in Kettering, set within immaculate grounds and historic surroundings. The venue is a renowned luxury destination, welcoming guests for relaxing breaks, romantic weddings, private dining, corporate meetings, product launches and high profile events.
The hotel has been awarded 3 AA Rosettes, with a strong reputation for delivering unforgettable dining experiences across its restaurant, brasserie, afternoon tea service, private dining rooms and events spaces. From fine dining in the restaurant with views across the Orangery to more relaxed dining in the brasserie, the food offering must balance refinement, consistency and scale.
The kitchen uses seasonal ingredients and the finest quality produce, working with local suppliers wherever possible. This attention to detail and passion for fine food has helped the restaurant achieve its 3 Rosette status, and the next Head Chef will be responsible for protecting that standard while continuing to evolve the menus and wider dining experience.
This role requires a confident culinary leader who can manage a premium multi outlet operation, delivering refined restaurant dining alongside a busy calendar of weddings, celebrations, afternoon teas and exclusive private dining. You will need to bring creativity, structure and strong leadership, with the ability to inspire a large brigade, manage the commercial side of the kitchen and maintain exceptional standards across every service.
This role does not provide accommodation, so you must be able to reliably commute or relocate.

You Will Need:

Years of experience as a Head Chef working to a multi Rosette standard

A passionate and creative chef with experience delivering high quality 3 AA Rosette level cuisine

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, structure and develop a large kitchen brigade

Experience managing premium event catering alongside refined restaurant dining

Confident overseeing multiple food outlets, including fine dining, brasserie, afternoon tea and private dining

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to deliver consistent quality during high volume services

Strong understanding of menu development, food cost control and seasonal produce

Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets, stock control and supplier relationships

A hands on chef who leads from the front and maintains exceptional kitchen standards

Committed to delivering food that reflects the standards of a 4 red star luxury hotel environment
Head Chef Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the entire kitchen operation ensuring exceptional food quality and consistency

Design and deliver innovative menus that reflect a premium 3 AA Rosette standard

Oversee fine dining, brasserie service, afternoon tea, private dining, weddings and large events

Use seasonal ingredients and quality produce, working with local suppliers wherever possible

Oversee high volume wedding and events catering while maintaining attention to detail

Train, mentor and develop the kitchen team to build a high performing brigade

Manage kitchen budgets, stock control, GP, staffing costs and supplier relationships effectively

Ensure the kitchen operates to the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness and organisation
