Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and promptly
- Provide menu recommendations and answer questions about menu items
- Upsell additional items, such as appetizers, desserts, or specialty drinks
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables
- Monitor guest satisfaction and promptly address any issues or concerns
- Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order preparation
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology is a plus
- Familiarity with upselling techniques to increase sales is desirable
- Time management skills to ensure efficient service without compromising quality
- Ability to work well in a team environment and take direction from supervisors
