Our menus blend beautifully reimagined classic gastropub favourites—such as our famous steak & ale pies, cider-braised pork belly, and roasted duck breast—with high-quality daily fresh fish and weekend specials.We pride ourselves on a warm, supportive kitchen culture where every single member of the brigade can make a real impact on our food delivery.The RoleWe are seeking a friendly, reliable, and motivated Chef de Partie (CDP) to step straight onto the line and elevate our kitchen operations. You will work alongside our Head Chef to run, maintain, and prep your designated sections seamlessly during busy peak lunch and evening services.Key Responsibilities
- Section Management: Setting up, running, and breaking down your kitchen section to an immaculate standard.
- Fresh Food Prep & Cooking: Preparing, cooking, and beautifully presenting fresh dishes from our main, sandwich, and Sunday roast menus.
- Quality & Consistency: Ensuring strict portion control, precise recipe execution, and an eye for absolute consistency during high-volume rushes.
- Kitchen Safety: Adhering to the highest standards of food hygiene (HACCP), allergen cross-contamination management, and general kitchen cleanliness.
- Stock Control: Correctly labelling, dating, rotating (FIFO), and managing stock levels to minimize food waste.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Proven history working as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef looking to step up in a busy, fresh-food pub or restaurant kitchen.
- Skillset: Confidence operating across multiple kitchen sections (Larder, Sauce, Pastry, or Mains) with a strong work ethic.
- Attitude: A calm, level-headed professional who thrives under pressure and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.
- Compliance: Valid UK Food Hygiene Level 2 Certification and an uncompromised legal Right to Work in the UK.
