An exciting opportunity has arisen at Capel Manor College, and we are seeking to appoint a tutor in Art & Design to deliver high-quality teaching on our new Art & Design courses at our Mottingham campus.
Our department offers a broad and diverse range of creative arts courses from Level 1 through to Level 3. This role will focus primarily on the planning, development and delivery of UAL Level 1 and Level 2 Award and Diploma programmes in Art & Design. There will also be opportunities to contribute to a variety of short workshops throughout the year, covering a range of art disciplines.
A key part of our department’s ethos is a strong commitment to sustainability and environmentally conscious art practices. We actively promote the use of sustainable materials and approaches, including land art, working with natural and land-based materials, eco-printing, as well as digital art and photography. This distinctive focus sets our provision apart and offers students an innovative and relevant creative education.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Art & Design tutor to join our team and support the successful launch of this new provision. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Art & Design, bringing creativity, innovation and fresh ideas to their teaching, while embracing and contributing to our sustainability-focused approach.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning, including planning and facilitating engaging lessons, setting ambitious targets, and effectively monitoring and assessing student progress. You will provide constructive feedback and model the positive attitudes, values and behaviours expected of our learners.
We welcome applications from experienced tutors, as well as those with a broad range of skills across different art disciplines who are keen to share their expertise. If you are an inspiring and motivated individual with the ability to engage, challenge and support students, and foster a passion for learning and creative development, we would love to hear from you.
