As a dynamic and growing organization, we are seeking a passionate and driven Assistant Manager to join our team.
Summary of position:
Responsible for overseeing daily hotel operations during their shift, acting as the senior point person to ensure seamless guest service, smooth inter-departmental communication (Front Office, Dining, Housekeeping), and prompt resolution of issues or complaints, essentially running the hostel while focusing on hands-on supervision, staff motivation.
The Assistant Manager must bridge the gap between daily operations and senior management, ensuring the Rest Up Hostel London runs efficiently, guests are happy, and staff are supported
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operations: Oversee daily operations during the shift, ensuring smooth running, efficiency, and adherence to Rest Up Hostel London policies.
Guest Services & Problem Solving: Act as the first point of contact for incidents, accidents, security issues, and handle them according to hotel policy. Deal with guest complaints as they happen on a day-to-day basis and record these. Deal with any accidents should they arise and ensure that these are recorded appropriately.
Operational oversight: Manage and oversee front desk operation, food service, housekeeping, maintenance.
Building Knowledge: Deal with security as well as fire, health and safety matters as they arise to assist with ensuring a safe environment for all. Carry out daily walks throughout the building to make ensure the safety and security of guests and teams alike, by following hostel protocols and monitoring the premises, when necessary,
Team Collaboration & Staff Management: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, while maintaining a positive and cooperative work environment.
Housekeeping Assistance: Manage and oversee housekeeping operation when on duty,
Event Support: Participate in hostel events or community activities, fostering a lively atmosphere and encouraging interaction among guests.
Multitasking: Liaise and communicate with other departments, such as front office, housekeeping, to ensure smooth, efficiently coordinating service delivery.

Experience in Hospitality (Preferred but not required): While prior experience in the hospitality industry is a plus, we value personality and attitude above all else. We'll provide training to help you succeed!

Pay: £32,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
