Due to expansion we are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Self Employed Support Workers to join our team!
Role Overview:
As a family Support Worker in the community flexibility and adaptability is key for this role! You can take care of your own schedule and decide which days you want to work -weekends and evenings are available.
You will be working with vulnerable young people and families, this could be in the community, at contact centres or within a residential setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Care: Providing care and ensuring the safety and welfare of vulnerable young people, reporting any abuse or neglect.
- Mentorship: Act as a positive role model, offering guidance and support to help young people navigate challenges.
- Supervision and Safety: Maintain a safe environment by following all safety protocols and manage challenging behaviour with appropriate strategies
- Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members and external partners to ensure activities align with the young persons needs and care plans.
- Life skills: Teaching essential life skills.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: Previous experience working with children or young adults in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Education: Relevant qualifications in youth work, social care, or a related field are preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage and motivate young people.
- Attributes: A proactive and energetic attitude, with a passion for working with young people. A commitment to being a positive influence and role model.
- Requirements: A valid UK driver's licence and a clear Enhanced DBS check or willing to complete one.
