HGV Driver (C+E) – Full Time

We’re a small, family-run operation looking for a reliable and professional HGV Driver (C+E) to join our team.
This isn’t a large transport company with layers of management and dozens of drivers. You’ll be working directly alongside myself and one other driver in a close-knit team where we help and look out for each other pulling together to get the job done.

The Role
The job involves the safe delivery and collection of:
- Timber frame house kits
- Roof Trusses
- Occasional round timber
- General haulage
You’ll be trusted to represent the company professionally, manage your vehicle responsibly, and work closely with the rest of the team to ensure deliveries are completed safely and efficiently.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering and collecting roof trusses and timber frame kits throughout Scotland
- Ensuring loads are secured safely and correctly
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism
- Building good relationships with customers on site (Forklift drivers can be difficult)
- Supporting the team where required
What We’re Looking For
- Valid C+E licence
- Previous HGV driving experience preferred
- Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic
- Good communication skills
- Safety-conscious and professional at all times
- Someone who enjoys being part of a small team and taking ownership of their work
Hours & Location
- Based from Irvine, Ayrshire
- 6am starts required
- Mainly Monday to Friday
- Minimum 10 hours paid per day
- Additional hours available during busy periods
- Truck can be parked locally if suitable
