We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Housekeeper / Cook to join our team at a private country house. Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning and housekeeping tasks throughout the property, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal areas.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in all assigned spaces.
- Prepare and cook meals according to household preferences and dietary requirements.
- Manage laundry and linen services efficiently.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Assist with light gardening or outdoor maintenance tasks if required.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and kitchen utensils are properly maintained and stored.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times to guarantee a safe environment for residents and visitors.
Skills
- Previous experience in hotel or hospitality settings is highly advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail.
- Proven janitorial experience demonstrating thoroughness and reliability.

HOURS — 20 per week, structured as:
- Guaranteed core hours (12–15 hrs/week): housekeeping, laundry, house readiness — every week, whether the family is in residence or not
- Flexible hours (5–8 hrs/week): cooking and additional support when the family is at home, scheduled in advance
Guaranteed hours are paid regardless, and we give as much notice as possible on the flexible hours.
Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
