Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Crown and Bridge Technician to join our specialised dental laboratory team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental prosthetics, with a focus on crowns and bridges, and demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills. Responsibilities
- Fabricate, repair, and customise crowns, bridges, and other fixed prosthetic devices with precision and adherence to specifications
- Collaborate closely with dentists and dental assistants to ensure accurate interpretation of prescriptions and patient requirements
- Maintain meticulous records of work progress, materials used, and quality control checks
- Oversee the workflow of junior technicians, providing guidance and mentorship as needed
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and laboratory protocols
- Assist in troubleshooting technical issues related to crown and bridge fabrication processes
- Keep the laboratory environment organised, clean, and well-stocked with necessary materials and tools
Skills
- Extensive experience in crown and bridge fabrication within a recognised dental laboratory setting
- Strong patient care understanding to appreciate the importance of precise restorations for patient comfort and function
- Excellent communication skills in English to liaise effectively with dental professionals and team members
- Proficiency in IT systems utilised for laboratory management, digital design, or CAD/CAM technology
- Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality
- Knowledge of nursing principles related to infection control and sterilisation procedures in a clinical context is advantageous
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating leadership qualities when required
