About the job
At Choice Support, everything we do is about enabling people to live the lives they choose. As a charity, we are committed to delivering high-quality services while ensuring every pound we spend creates the greatest possible impact.
To support this, I’m looking to bring in an experienced Interim Procurement Specialist to work closely with me and help shape how procurement supports our mission. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to play a key role in a purpose-led organisation—moving beyond transactional procurement to something that genuinely adds value to the people we support.
About the role
You will take ownership of procurement across the organisation, helping us build a modern, effective, and values-led procurement approach. Working with senior leaders, you will:
- Help design and implement a procurement strategy aligned to our charitable objectives
- Ensure we achieve value for money, so more of our resources can be directed to frontline services
- Shape and lead end-to-end procurement activity across a wide range of categories
- Strengthen supplier relationships, ensuring quality, reliability and shared values
- Improve contract management, governance, and compliance
- Support the organisation to make better, more informed commercial decisions
This is a broad and impactful role where procurement will be positioned as a key business partner to the wider organisation.
Hours:
The role is full time on a Interim / Fix Term Contract 6 - 12 months
About you
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has hands-on experience developing and implementing procurement strategies
- Brings strong commercial and negotiation skills, with a focus on delivering value
- Is able to operate across both strategic and operational levels
- Can build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders across the organisation
- Has a solid understanding of procurement governance, risk, and compliance
- Shares our commitment to using resources responsibly to maximise social impact
Experience in the charity or public sector would be beneficial, but not essential—we welcome candidates who are motivated by purpose and want to apply their skills in a values-driven environment.
Why this role matters
Good procurement in a charity isn’t just about cost—it’s about ensuring sustainability, enabling growth, and ultimately supporting better outcomes for the people we serve. If that’s something you care about, I’d love to hear from you.
Closing date for this role is Sunday 18th July
Interviews will take place via Teams the first week of August.
We may close this post early if we receive sufficient applications before the closing date. If you are interested in applying, we would ask that you do so as early as possible to avoid any disappointment.
To keep the people we support safe, we follow safer recruitment steps. This includes DBS checks, reference checks and reviewing your work history.
