The company is currently seeking to recruit a part-time service assistant.
Locations: Farm Road, Frimley & Frimley Road, Camberley. Staff are required to work at either of these locations depending on business demands and rostering.
Environment: Retail
Tenure: Part-time (normally) 9:00 am-5:00 pm, two weekday days, and Saturday 9:00 am-1:00 pm. Opportunity to work additional weekday days.
Job Summary: This long-established business provides high-quality garment care services to trade and consumer customers from several outlets in West Surrey & North East Hampshire. Services include: Dry Cleaning, Laundry, Ironing, Alterations & Repairs and other specialist cleaning.
The position involves serving at the customer counter: dealing with customer enquiries; accepting service orders; issuing customer order tickets; tagging garments; preparing orders for processing; operating washing & drying machines; garment pressing; packing orders; and a variety of other tasks associated with a professional garment care retail business.
Key Function(s): Serving at the customer counter, including:
Payment processing
Order tracking
Customer order processing: dry cleaning, laundry, garment pressing, packing, etc.
Liaising with service partners and colleagues on matters of service delivery
Maintaining a clean and tidy shop/work environment
Key Skills: Attention to detail
Knowledge & understanding of fabrics, garment design and construction an advantage
Clearly spoken British English verbal communications, with experience of handling customer queries/complaints
Very good written English with the ability to communicate complex matters and provide instructions for processing
Excellent numeracy
Ability to work unsupervised
