This role is based in Criminal Justice Services Traffic managing teams of Police Investigators (Enquiry Officers) and Decision Makers (Process Officers) in the review of Collisions, Driving Allegations, Officer Issued Tickets and speeding offences with links to criminal activity. The teams are based in 3 locations Milton Keynes, Banbury and HQ South. This role gives you the opportunity to work within our internal and external partners as well as contributing to the national pieces of work in this arena. The role is varied in managing people, reviewing on process/cases and provide specialist knowledge in Traffic legislation.
The successful candidate will have proven management experience at a similar level, with practical experience of problem solving, decision making and the management of work and resources. Proven ability to work under pressure and achieve results. Excellent interpersonal skills, including negotiation and influencing skills, are required whilst being able to feedback to officers, staff and partners constructively. The ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure is required together with strong MS Office IT skills, including Word and Excel. You will be educated to A level standard, NVQ level 4 or equivalent in subject matter area (Law/Criminal Justice).

Important: All secondments must be supported in writing by your Line Manager and Head of Department/Commander or Deputy. Please attach written approval from your line manager and Head of Department in your application. If the secondment is not supported then the role may be offered on a fixed term contract basis, but this has implications including loss of continuous service protections.
Please note: Shift allowance, on-call or other job related allowances from the previous role will not be protected unless they are attached to the new role for the duration of the secondment.
