Careermakers Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced Class 2 Tipper Drivers on behalf of a well-established client based in the Irlam area. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers with muck-away experience looking for regular weekday work with competitive pay and no handballing involved.
You will be paid:
- £14.35 – £16.08 per hour (PAYE) depending on experience
You’ll be joining a growing team committed to delivering reliable and efficient transport solutions across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a Class 2 tipper truck to transport materials (e.g., aggregates, sand, gravel) to various sites
- Safely load and unload using the vehicle’s tipping mechanism – no manual handling required
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries across designated routes
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks and report any defects
- Communicate effectively with the transport team regarding routes and updates
- Maintain accurate delivery records and vehicle condition reports
- Comply with all relevant road safety, transport legislation, and company policies
Requirements:
- Muck-away experience is essential
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Minimum 2 years’ Class 2 driving experience (for insurance purposes)
- Strong working knowledge of UK road networks and driving regulations
- A professional, punctual, and safety-first approach
- No more than 6 penalty points (no major convictions)
