We are looking for 4 experienced HGV Class 1 drivers for regular tramping work.
The trucks are based at our yard in Goole, but the work is UK nationwide tramping, depending on the loads.
The work is general haulage / curtain-side trailer work. We are looking for reliable, professional drivers who are careful with the truck and equipment.
Pay is £18 per hour + £25 night-out allowance, paid weekly.
Regular Monday to Friday tramping work may be available for the right drivers.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ Class 1 / C+E experience
- No more than 6 points on driving licence
- Valid Driver CPC card
- Valid digital tachograph card
- Tramping experience preferred
- Good understanding of drivers’ hours and tachograph rules
- Reliable, professional and good with paperwork
- Good attitude towards vehicle checks, compliance and clients
Duties:
- HGV Class 1 nationwide tramping work
- General haulage / curtain-side trailer work
- Complete daily walkaround checks
- Report any defects, delays or issues promptly
- Use tachograph correctly
- Keep delivery paperwork / PODs organised
- Drive safely and professionally
- Look after the vehicle and equipment
