We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team in Moorends. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, helping them to develop socially, emotionally, and academically.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play and support children's development across all areas.
- Establish positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform planning and support individual needs.
- Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and organised, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with the team to manage daily routines effectively and maintain high standards of care.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail in a busy environment.
- A genuine drive to support children's learning and development through creative play-based activities.
This job is Term Time Only, full-time, working Monday-Friday. The candidate must be flexible between the hours of 730am-6pm.
