Macdonald’s Conference & Events Executives play a vital role in delivering a great guest experience to all our guests. They have a keen eye for detail, an organised approach and a willingness to exceed our guest expectation. Often operating on the front line, they are the real ambassadors of our company, and are committed to consistently delivering high standards.
The tasks are set out below:
Maximise sales of conferences, wedding and special event enquiries ensuring the hotel achieves its budgeted target for M&E revenues.
To maximise meeting room and hotel occupancy revenue.
Play a pro-active role in the business planning process and the delivery of the Meeting & Events Strategy with the Sales, Marketing & Events Manager
Support the maximisation of revenue and profit for the hotel through increased conversion of the right business, maximising meeting room occupancy, rate opportunities, upselling and cross selling of properties.
To ensure compliance with company standards, consistently delivering a professional service and building strong working relationships with our clients, resulting in repeat clients.
In addition:
- Answer any booking enquiries relating to conferences/banqueting and weddings.
- Maximise meeting room occupancy and hotel revenue.
- Produce weekly function sheets.
- To coordinate confirmed business with particular attention to detail.
- Ensure accurate daily posting of revenue for any booking.
- Carry out show rounds of the hotel to potential clients in a professional manner.
- Ensure internal documents and systems are used as per company standards.
- Handle complaints professionally and report any incident to the relevant manager.
- Ensure that all correspondence with external parties, guests, companies or agencies meet the hotel’s standards and are dealt with in a timely manner.
- To liaise with reservations team regarding bedroom blocks or overbooking situations.
- To have a proactive approach to selling function rooms.
- Welcoming guests on the day.
- Attending wedding fairs.
