Air Conditioning Engineer
North East | Full-Time | Monday to Friday
£40,000 – £42,000 + Overtime + On-Call Allowance + Benefits
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join a well-established engineering team working within a large commercial environment in the North East.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across a range of air conditioning and building services equipment.
Duties Include:
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Reactive maintenance, servicing, and breakdown repairs
- Water temperature monitoring and tap flushing
- Working on VRV, VRF, and split systems
- Fault finding and system diagnostics
- Maintaining rooftop and ventilation equipment
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and compliantly
Equipment on Site
- Daikin systems
- AHU & rooftop units
- VES ventilation systems
- Split, VRV & VRF systems
What We’re Looking For
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
- F-Gas Category 1 certification
- Experience with BMS systems and pressure checking
- Strong fault-finding and maintenance background
- Ability to work independently and manage your own diary
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Package & Benefits
- £40,000 – £42,000 basic salary
- Monday – Friday, 6:30am – 3:00pm
- 1 in 4 on-call rota (£150 standby payment)
- Time and a half paid before 6:30am and after 5pm
