We are currently recruiting for a Goods In Warehouse Operative to join a busy and fast-paced warehouse team. This is a key role responsible for the receipt, inspection, and accurate processing of inbound goods to ensure stock is handled efficiently and meets company standards.
This is a great opportunity for someone with warehouse, logistics, or goods-in experience who is looking to develop within a growing organisation.
Warehouse Operative responsibilities:
- Receiving and booking in deliveries using warehouse systems
- Unloading goods safely and efficiently (manual handling required)
- Checking deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes
- Inspecting goods for damage, discrepancies, or quality issues
- Accurately labelling and storing stock in designated locations
- Updating stock systems and maintaining accurate inventory records
- Working closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Following all health & safety procedures at all times
Skills & experience required:
- Previous experience as a warehouse operative / goods in / inbound operative (preferred but not essential)
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic IT or warehouse management system knowledge
- Strong team player with a positive attitude
- Physically fit and able to handle manual work
- Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
