Job Summary
Platform 1864 is a multi-award winning cocktail bar & restaurant based on the NC500 route on the East Coast of Scotland. We are seeking a bar supervisor to assist in the daily running of the establishment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff and ensuring exceptional customer service. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for hospitality to contribute to a thriving team environment.
The standard shift pattern will follow a schedule of working 5 days out of 7 and the pattern surrounding that can be discussed at the point of interview however there is scope to negotiate different terms. There is the option of live-in accommodation for the successful candidate and having a driving license is advantageous as the accommodation is not on-site. Due to the nature of the role, being flexible in working days and evenings is a non-negotiable.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of bar and restaurant staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and professionally.
- Train new team members in service procedures and company policies.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders for supplies, and manage inventory efficiently.
- Handle customer feedback or complaints with tact and professionalism to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Promote a positive team environment through leadership, motivation, and effective communication.
- Assist in overseeing and delegating daily tasks working closely with the management team
Skills
- Proven experience working in a hospitality .
- Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask under pressure.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and guests alike.
- Barista and cocktail experience is a plus however training can be offered.
