Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Solar PV Engineer to join our growing team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and servicing of solar PV systems across residential and commercial properties. You will play a key part in delivering high-quality renewable energy solutions while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Qualified Electrician Role and Responsibilities:
- Install solar PV systems on residential and commercial properties
- Carry out servicing and routine maintenance of solar PV systems
- Diagnose faults and perform reactive repairs efficiently
- Complete system upgrades and improvements to a high standard
- Conduct site surveys and technical assessments
- Ensure all work complies with current industry regulations and standards
- Maintain a professional and courteous approach when dealing with clients
- Keep all work areas clean, safe, and well-organised
- Accurately complete all relevant documentation, including timesheets, service reports, and job records
Qualified Electrician Skills and Experience:
- Qualified to 18th Edition standards
- Fully qualified electrician (ECS Gold Card or equivalent)
- Solar PV and EESS certifications (desirable)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the solar PV industry
- Proven experience in installation, servicing, and maintenance of solar PV systems
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Good technical knowledge of inverters, panels, and mounting systems
- Experience in inspection and testing (qualifications preferred)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Self-motivated, reliable, and professional
- Full, clean UK driving licence
