Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be involved in a variety of tasks related to landscape maintenance, construction, and general site upkeep. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills in horticulture, gardening, and the use of various tools and machinery. A background in mechanical knowledge, construction, or gardening is advantageous. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to work outdoors and contribute to diverse projects.
Duties
- Assisting with landscape maintenance including planting, pruning, and lawn care
- Operating hand tools such as spades, rakes, and secateurs for garden and site work
- Using power tools and machinery including excavators for excavation and site preparation
- Installing and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscaped areas
- Performing general maintenance tasks on equipment and site facilities
- Assisting with construction activities such as groundwork, fencing, or structural repairs
- Supporting the team with gardening tasks to promote healthy growth of plants and shrubs
- Ensuring all work areas are kept safe, clean, and organised throughout the day
Experience
- Prior experience in landscape maintenance, gardening or horticulture is desirable
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating machinery such as excavators is a plus
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance procedures is beneficial
- Experience working on construction sites or in outdoor environments will be advantageous
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and general site upkeep practices is preferred
- Candidates should be physically fit with the ability to perform manual labour over extended periods
