Part Time Bar Supervisor – Lock 91, Manchester
We’re on the lookout for an experienced and enthusiastic Bar Supervisor who is passionate about delivering outstanding hospitality and eager to build on their leadership skills.
As Bar Supervisor, you will work closely with our Bar Manager and Events Manager to help run a wide variety of private events, from weddings and birthdays to corporate functions.
You’ll lead shifts, manage staff, and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the venue, both front and back of house.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Bar and Events Managers in preparing and delivering an array of in-house events
- Liaise with clients to ensure smooth planning and execution of private functions
- Supervise venue opening and closing procedures, ensuring bar setup and breakdown standards are met
- Lead and motivate the team, maintaining strong communication across all departments
- Receive deliveries and assist with stock control, including rotation, counts, and ordering
- Manage tills, handle end-of-day banking (card-only venue; PDQ experience essential)
- Uphold all licensing laws and health & safety requirements
- Perform line cleaning and other bar maintenance duties
- Organise and support staff training; identify and address performance needs
- Conduct compliance audits and routine venue health and safety checks
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or senior bar role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of bar operations and hospitality standards
- A proactive, hands-on attitude with high attention to detail
- A valid Personal License (essential for this role)
- Availability to work evening and late-night shifts – this is non-negotiable
