Blossom Grove Care
As a Residential Support Worker at Blossom Grove Care, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, stable, and nurturing home for children and young people who have experienced trauma and adversity. We are a 2 Bed home based in the heart of Coventry.
This role is about relationships, consistency, and care. You will support children emotionally, practically, and socially, helping them feel safe, understood, and valued in their home.
You will work as part of a small, supportive team on a 2 on / 4 off rota, contributing to a calm, structured environment where children can begin to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and young people living at the home
- Provide day-to-day care that is consistent, compassionate, and trauma-informed
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children through warmth, boundaries, and reliability
- Support children with daily routines, education, activities, appointments, and emotional regulation
- Work in line with individual care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies
- Respond calmly and appropriately to challenging behaviour, using de-escalation and therapeutic approaches
- Accurately record daily notes, incidents, and key information using electronic care systems
- Support medication administration in line with training and policy
- Maintain a safe, homely, and welcoming environment for children and staff
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, managers, social workers, and other professionals
- Attend team meetings, supervision, and training to support your ongoing development
- Work in line with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, and Blossom Grove Care policies

Salary & Benefits
£13-16 per hour depending upon experience

Essential

- Ability to complete electronic records (Mentor system)
- Flexible approach to shifts, duties, and locations
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one
- This role is not suitable for applicants without children’s residential experience
Desirable
- Full UK driving licence
