Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Team Lead Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals, particularly children, ensuring their well-being and development. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to implement care plans tailored to each individual's needs. A valid driving licence is preferred, as the role may involve transporting clients.
Duties
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, promoting independence and self-sufficiency.
- Develop and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with other professionals.
- Provide childcare support, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in behaviour or condition.
- Engage clients in activities that promote social interaction and personal development.
- Drive clients to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
- Support individuals with IT-related tasks if necessary, enhancing their skills and confidence.
Requirements
- Level 3 in either residential care or working with children
- Previous experience working with children or in a similar support role .
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and their families.
- Ability to develop and follow care plans tailored to individual needs.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients.
- IT skills to assist clients with technology-related tasks would be an advantage.
- A compassionate approach with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and client needs.
