About the Role
We’re looking for a driven, talented individual to join our Logistics Team. As part of a skilled, multi-disciplinary team, you will play a critical role in supporting the manufacture of our products by taking ownership of purchasing activities and ensuring materials and components are available when needed. You will be responsible for supplier relationships, negotiating costs, placing and monitoring purchase orders, receiving goods, and supporting efficient stock control and office workflow.
Working closely with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers, and through training and collaboration, you will gain an understanding of our products and supply requirements. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organisation, and the ability to prioritise effectively.
A proactive approach and willingness to work collaboratively with the wider team are essential.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Base Location: Malton, North Yorkshire
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience) with discretional bonus. £25,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
As Purchasing Administrator, you will be responsible for
- Overseeing all purchasing activities to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement
- Sourcing, negotiating with, and managing relationships with suppliers
- Monitoring stock levels and coordinating with relevant departments to meet demand
- Placing purchase orders and ensuring accurate records are maintained
- Reviewing supplier performance and resolving any supply issues
- Ensuring compliance with company systems, policies, and processes
- Producing purchasing reports and analysis as required
- Managing ongoing contracts and identifying opportunities for cost reduction and value improvement
- Supporting wider business operations with cover of general tasks where required to support the team
Essential skills/experience
- Proven involvement in purchasing or procurement activities
- Experience of inventory management to meet demand
- Supplier management skills
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (English)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Confident decision-maker with a proactive approach
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Preferable skills/experience
The following skills/experience would be preferred but are not essential. Training and support will be provided.
- Experience working within a manufacturing or product production environment
- Experience using ERP systems (e.g. Sage or similar)
- Experience using inventory management or MRP systems
Working Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 8:30 – 5:00
- One hour for lunch
