Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cover Cleaning Operative to join our team in Leominster for a cover cleaning role in two of our surgeries. The position is to cover staff holiday and sickness at Rylands Surgery and The Marches Surgery in Bodenham.
This role involves providing high-quality cleaning services across various commercial premises, ensuring a clean, hygienic, and welcoming environment for clients. The successful candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team. Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the cleaning industry and contribute to maintaining our high standards of cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Carry out cleaning duties in commercial settings, including offices, retail outlets, and public buildings
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, surfaces, fixtures, and fittings according to company standards
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, toilet rolls, and cleaning products as needed
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning activities
- Adhere to scheduled cleaning routines and complete tasks within designated timeframes
Skills
- Experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Reliable with a professional attitude towards clients and colleagues
