We work on behalf of a very well respected special school on the outskirts of Bridgwater that are looking for a KS1 ASD/SEMH Teacher to join the team. The school is based on beautiful grounds and boast fantastic facilities.
They look after a range of needs at the school but most students have ASD or SEMH. The school are passionate about delivering a therapeutic curriculum for their students.
The role
This particular gap is within a KS1 class of 7 students, where you will be ably supported by 2 TA's. You will be following the primary curriculum model with a few tweaks! As they are very proud of their Needs-Led approach.
Due to the needs of the students it is important you feel confident working with ASD and have ideally worked in a specialist environment before. You must have a QTS (or Equivalent) qualification as this is a full teaching post (planning, marking etc).
