Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality finishes. As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint and finishes, and ensuring that all work meets our high standards of quality. This role requires both mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various hand and power tools.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes as necessary.
- Apply paint, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Mix paints and finishes to achieve desired colours and textures.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Perform touch-ups and repairs as needed to maintain the quality of finished work.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, reporting any issues promptly.
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks when required, including moving furniture or equipment prior to painting.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Painter or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
